Competitive Racing Team

Background and Goals

The MCRRC racing team was established in the spring of 2013 to assemble and recognize highly talented and competitive members of MCRRC, promote competitive distance running among club members, and increase the visibility of MCRRC within the broader running community. The program establishes racing teams to compete at races in the metropolitan Washington, DC area.

Application and Selection Process

The application deadline has now passed and 2014 team members will be selected soon. Thank you for your interest!

A committee will review applications. Selection will be based mainly on fastest performance across a range of distances, but consideration may be given to club participation either as a runner or volunteer when deciding between applicants with similar racing times.  The 2014 Race Team roster will be announced late December on MCRRC-Info Yahoo! Group.
