2017 Stride Clinic dates:
What is it?
A monthly screening of runners conducted by a volunteer staff of various disciplines (podiatrists, physical therapists, running coaches, shoe evaluators, massage therapists, dieticians etc.) that collaborates in an effort to educate, strategize and identify areas of concern in each runner to improve their performance. It will function to not necessarily correct or fix runners’ issues due to time and equipment constraints, but rather to help identify issues or areas that may be improved upon or that may affect the runner’s ability to run, and to provide a basis for future, more in-depth evaluation outside the clinic by a specialist, as needed.
Because every runner is unique we take a personalized approach. One of the joys of running is the continual process of development and achievement. The Stride Clinic helps you identify key issues that will help you improve your running. Whether you’re a new or experienced runner, the Stride Clinic can help you reach your goals to improve fitness, minimize injury, or take your running to the next level.

The September 2016 issue of MCRRC’s Intervals features inspiring articles about TWO of our Stride Clinic Professionals, Coach Betty Smith and Physical Therapist Rachel Miller.
When running is a lifestyle calling, you remain mission-ready for any possibility life throws your way. Dr. Betty, as called by club members, is that kind of runner. Read about her mission-ready running heroics for kids during and after the 9-11 attack on the Pentagon as well as a feature on the club’s own Rachel Miller in the issue’s “Runner Profile.”

Each Stride Clinic registration will require a non-refundable payment of $30. This cost is still much less than you will pay anywhere else for a similar analysis and will help the club to recover part of the costs associated with providing this excellent service. For this small charge, you will be evaluated by an assortment of specialists, including a coach, physical therapist, podiatrist, nutritionist, and shoe expert and will receive a stylish Cool Max Stride Clinic shirt. If for some reason you need to change your confirmed appointment, you will be allowed to reschedule, but only if it is greater than five days before your scheduled date. This policy is described in detail at the online registration site; however, if you have any specific questions, please contact the MCRRC Office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Prior to your appointment at the Stride Clinic, you must complete a Stride Clinic Evaluation Form and bring it with you to the clinic. You will receive an email containing instructions about your appointment, as well as a copy of the Evaluation Form, the week before your scheduled appointment. If you do not receive this e-mail, please contact Halsey Sinclair at email@example.com.
