Championship Series 2010

Selected club races are designated part of this year-long series. Points awarded to the top finishers in each age group for these designated races are used to determine age-group champions for the year. Be sure to check out the rules for details on scoring.

Rules

The Roads Championship Series will consist of nine races. Your best four races will count. You must run a minimum of four races in the series to qualify.
You must be an MCRRC member on the day of the race to earn Championship Series points for that race. Non-members are not counted in determining series points.
Your age group for the year will be determined by your age on January first of each year.
In each race points will be awarded to the top ten places overall and to the top ten within age groups. The first-place runner will receive ten points, the second-place runner will receive nine points, and so on down to the tenth-place runner who will receive one point. Points will be accumulated for your best four races at the end of the year.
At the end of the year open and age group prizes will be awarded as shown in the table below.
