Awards and Premiums

Roses & Certificates to all finishers — Awards to top three overall finishers, first master, first two in each age group (15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70-74; 75-80, 81-) and the first three mother-daughter teams. No duplicate individual awards. Random prizes and refreshments. Post-race massages available.

Course

Wheaton Regional Park, starting in the parking lot near the train station. A short stretch on the roads, then a scenic loop course winding through the woods, along the lake and around beautiful Brookside Gardens (course map).

Registration

The costs are $15 through April 30; $20 from May 1 through May 25. $25 from May 26 through race day, June 16th. Pay an additional $20.00 to reserve your 2012 Roses technical shirt (women’s sizes). 2012 Roses tote bag for $6. Sign up online, or via regular mail with printable entry form (old one as placeholder until new version is available) with check payable to MCRRC.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup and race day registration start at 7:00 am at the race site.

Young Run

7:45 am — Free ¼ and ½ mile runs for all kids 12 and under. Every kid receives a ribbon and a treat at the finish. Race-day registration only.

Directions

To get directions, click on the link for the race parking at Wheaton Regional Park, enter your starting point, and click the Get Directions button. Or take I-495 to Georgia Avenue, North. Go 2.7 miles north on Georgia Avenue and turn right onto Shorefield Road. At the T, bear right to enter the park. Registration will be in the children’s train station (the red-roofed building at the far end of the parking lot).
