Equipment Lending

The MCRRC Board shall appoint a representative from the board member who will be responsible for the lending and renting of club equipment held at the club’s equipment storage facility.  This person will have the title of Equipment Chairperson.

As a rule, lending of MCRRC equipment, especially essential/technical equipment such as time machines, display clocks, laptops, sound systems, scaffolding and IPICO equipment, is not encouraged.  Minor and non-critical club equipment can be borrowed, as an exception to this rule, by club members for non-club use for no more than two days use with pre-approval from the Equipment Chair.

If it is deemed necessary to make an exception to this rule, essential pieces of club equipment (sound systems, clocks, scaffolding, time machines and IPICO equipment) can only be rented if they are accompanied by a trained operator (either paid through RMS or volunteer.)  Essential equipment may never be rented or borrowed when such rental would interfere or hinder a club-related activity or event.  Equipment rental fees will be established by RMS personnel and the Equipment Chair.  Separate rates may be established for commercial companies/non-club members and for club members who have been a member for more than a year.

All loan requests must be submitted via email to the Equipment Manager and the administrator.  Equipment rentals or borrowing will be tracked by the Equipment Manager.  Any user returning equipment in unusable, un-repairable, or “degraded” condition must reimburse the club for replacement or repair to that equipment.
