The race start begins at the stripe in the road at the first entrance to playground parking lot, on the approach from Jackson Road. The turnaround is at the perpendicular of the center court lines of the basketball courts and the hiker-biker trail in woods. The race finishes at first perpendicular from the restroom's first wall on the approach from the parking lot to hiker-biker trail. A full course map of the 8K race can be viewed here. The theme for this race is School Spirit! So come dressed & ready to run in your favorite school's team apparel!

From I-270, exit at Clopper Rd W (MD 117). Proceed about 2 miles to the Seneca Creek State Park entrance on your left.
Work off those extra holiday calories at one of our most popular club races, the Turkey Burnoff at Seneca Creek State Park in Gaithersburg. The course is scenic and you'll burn off that third helping of pumpkin pie on the gently rolling hills. The park deer occasionally make a cameo appearance, and they don't brake for runners! Registration is race-day only, get there at least 30 minutes early to park and walk to the signup area.
The park has only limited parking. Please make every attempt to carpool and arrive early. We will monitor parking very closely and turn away cars once we reach the limit. If you are turned away, there is limited parking available at the St.Rose of Lima Parish church (11701 Clopper Rd) just up the road from the park entrance. However, if you have to park out there, you will have a long walk to the start line. We can not allow any illegal parking, as doing so will jeopardize our ability to obtain permits for future races in Seneca Creek State Park. Pets of all kind, whether on a leash or not, are not allowed in Seneca Creek State Park.

Cabin John Regional Park
From I-270 interchange at Old Georgetown Road, exit north on Old Georgetown Road to left on Tuckerman Lane; turn left onto Westlake Drive. Take the first entrance on the right into Cabin John Regional Park.
Kids (18 years and under) 9:00 am at Cabin John Regional Park in Potomac. In the interests of promoting children's running, these races are free to all runners 18 & under. Registration is race-day only.

From North-bound I-270, exit 8 (Shady Grove Rd). On the exit ramp, veer right onto Redland Blvd; right on Needwood Rd; right on Beach Drive into Lake Needwood; around Needwood Lake Circle to the south parking.
Over hill, over dale, as we hit the muddy trail. Hills, mud, grass and trails - this 10K course is a challenge!

From I-270, exit onto Rte 28 toward Rockville. Cross Rte 355. Turn left to stay on Rte 28/1st St. Turn right at the traffic light onto Baltimore Rd. Continue for 1.1 miles. Rockville High School is on the left.

Join us in celebrating MCRRC's birthday with a run through scenic Seneca Creek State Park. You'll encounter rolling hills on the park's quiet roads and expect a few deer sightings along the way. Following the races will be our Annual Meeting, so stick around for some birthday cake!
